Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Key points you should read first

  • The Report is information-only and is compiled from third-party sources.
  • We do not provide any guarantee (including any “data guarantee”) that the Report is complete, accurate, or up to date.
  • You must not rely on the Report as the sole basis for buying, selling, insuring, financing, or valuing a vehicle.
  • No cancellations / no cooling-off once delivered: the Service is supplied immediately as digital content / a digital service.
  • No refunds: all sales are final except where required by law (and any voluntary refund is at our discretion).
  • Liability is limited: we do not accept responsibility for losses arising from the Report or the underlying data, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

1. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • Check means a vehicle data search you request through the Service using a vehicle registration mark (VRM) and/or vehicle identification number (VIN) and/or other identifiers we request.
  • Report (or Check Results) means the output we make available to you following a Check (including any on-screen results, downloadable report, and any emailed link).
  • Vehicle means the vehicle that is the subject of the Check.
  • UK means the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (excluding Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man unless we state otherwise).
  • Third-Party Data means data provided to us (directly or indirectly) by third parties, including (without limitation) government bodies, finance and insurance databases, industry databases, data aggregators, and/or sellers.

2. Eligibility and permitted use

2.1 Age. You may only use the Service if you are at least 18 years old.

2.2 Consumer use. The Service is intended for personal consumer use when researching a vehicle. You must not use it for resale, re-publication, or as part of a commercial reporting/lead-generation service.

2.3 UK focus. The Service is primarily designed for vehicles with UK records. Some vehicles and/or data fields may not be available.

2.4 Your device and access. You are responsible for having compatible devices, software, and internet access.

3. The Service

3.1 What we provide. The Service provides a Report that may include certain vehicle-related information (for example: vehicle identifiers and descriptive details, and where available data flags relating to theft, write-off, finance interest, mileage/keeper indicators, MOT and other provenance-related datasets).

3.2 Scope varies. The specific fields shown in a Report may vary by vehicle, data availability, and the product option you purchase. Any examples of data fields are illustrative only.

3.3 Not a physical inspection. The Service:

  • does not inspect the Vehicle,
  • does not verify the Vehicle’s physical condition, safety, roadworthiness, or legality,
  • does not confirm authenticity of plates/VIN stamps, and
  • does not guarantee title or ownership.

3.4 Snapshot in time. Reports reflect data available at the time the Check is run. Databases can change after a Check is completed.

3.5 Availability. We may suspend, withdraw, or change any part of the Service at any time. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.

4. Ordering, pricing and payment

4.1 Price. Prices are shown before you place your order. Prices may change from time to time.

4.2 Payment. Payment must be made in full before a Check is run, unless we explicitly offer a promotion or free entitlement.

4.3 Errors. If we display an obvious pricing or technical error, we may cancel the order and (if applicable) refund the amount paid for that affected Check.

5. Delivery of the Report

5.1 Immediate supply. The Report is normally delivered immediately after payment (or after you submit your request where the Check is free). Delivery may be via screen display, account area, and/or email link.

5.2 Access period. We may limit how long you can access a Report (for example via your account or a link). Any access period will be stated in-product or on purchase screens.

5.3 Your responsibility to save. If you want a copy for your records, you should download or save it promptly (where functionality is provided).

6. Cancellation and refunds

6.1 Immediate supply and loss of cancellation right. When you place an order, you request that we start providing the Service immediately (by running the Check and making the Report available). If you give that request and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once the Report is made available, then you will lose your right to cancel at that point.

6.2 No refunds (all sales final). Except where required by law, we do not offer refunds, credits, replacements, or free re-checks, including if:

  • you decide not to buy the Vehicle,
  • the Vehicle is sold before you act,
  • you entered the wrong VRM/VIN/details,
  • the Report is not what you expected, or
  • Third-Party Data is missing, delayed, incomplete or inaccurate.

6.3 Statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms limits your legal rights where the Service is not provided with reasonable care and skill, is not supplied, or where other mandatory consumer protections apply.

7. Your responsibilities

7.1 You agree to use the Service:

  • lawfully and responsibly,
  • only for its intended purpose,
  • only in line with these Terms, and
  • not for fraud, deception, or unlawful activity.

7.2 Do your own checks. You are responsible for performing any checks you consider necessary before buying a vehicle, including (as relevant):

  • verifying the seller’s identity and address,
  • confirming the Vehicle’s VRM and VIN match the V5C and the Vehicle,
  • checking MOT status/history through official sources where appropriate,
  • inspecting the Vehicle and test driving it,
  • arranging an independent mechanical inspection, and
  • confirming any finance/insurance markers directly with the relevant provider(s).

7.3 Input accuracy. You are responsible for ensuring any information you provide (VRM, VIN, etc.) is correct. We are not responsible for Reports generated from incorrect inputs.

8. Intellectual property and restrictions on use

8.1 The Service and Reports (including layout, presentation, and compiled outputs) are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws.

8.2 Personal use licence. You may view, download and store one copy of a Report for your personal use when researching the Vehicle. You must not (and must not allow others to):

  • make the Service or Reports available to any third party (including via a website, app, API, or shared drive);
  • circumvent technical restrictions.

8.3 We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached this section.

  • we do not accept responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or quality of Third-Party Data, or
  • any omission, delay, mismatch, or error in Third-Party Data, or
